Monetary policy transmission
The chain from a central bank decision to the real economy: a lower policy rate lowers market interest rates, cheaper borrowing lifts investment and consumer spending, aggregate demand shifts right, and output and prices rise. Each link takes time, so the full effect arrives a year or more later.
