Aggregate demand (AD)

The total amount of a country’s output that households, firms, the government and foreigners plan to buy at each price level. It slopes down for three reasons: a lower price level makes people’s money worth more (wealth effect), lowers interest rates (interest-rate effect) and makes exports cheaper abroad (net-export effect).
